Taken in late October 2009 at Robert K. Rees Memorial Park, New Port Richey, FL. Naturally at this time of year the bird is displaying non-breeding plumage. The Reddish Egret is currently listed as a "Species of Special Concern" in the state of Florida.

Shot at Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club. A beautiful Bald Eagle with a fish that was caught in a nearby pond and carried high into a tree. Notice how alert he is as he begins to dine on his prize.
Shot at Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club near the main road. You can see a few cars reflecting in the water as they go by. As far as I could tell a pair of Black Crowned Night-herons nested in this area. Close to the end of the video you will see him stick his head into what appears to be the entrance to the nest. A few still images of this bird and one of the juveniles can be seen in the photo section.
Giant Swallowtail Butterfly laying eggs on the leaves of my Myer Lemon Tree. Citrus trees are a favorite host plant for these large butterflies. I keep this tree small in a large pot just for this purpose. I never get any lemons from it, but that's OK.
Shot in Brooksville, FL under a big oak tree in our back yard. I have never seen Pileated Woodpeckers on the ground like this. I consider it a rare sighting.
